• Number and types of activities;
• Number and location of pools (and if there are separate pools for kids and adults);
• Kid’s programs (including age ranges, available times and additional costs if any);
• Room types and location of rooms—all-inclusive resorts and hotels can be quite large, so the location of your room (in the back, right on the beach or near the pool) is an important element to consider ahead of time; and
• Gratuities.

Trust us: You’ll want to know if you’re going to be charged for all sorts of incidentals, like renting snorkel gear! Some places offer enhanced amenities for certain rooms, so you should look for “club” or “preferred” room types—keep in mind that these rooms are usually in a more desirable location on the resort and come with additional perks and benefits.
